I dont know what you are referring to in regard to the remote controlled part of this question. What I would suggest is a wireless belt pack and either a lapel mic, headset mic, or boom mike. The receiver for this mic would be plugged into the sound system through the sound desk and therfore the sound operator can turn it on and off as required.
