G'day.
I know other people have said buy the gear, and whilst that's ok for small things like tables/chairs, the barricade is a bitch.
I was A/Tech Director for a season of Les Mis, and we hired out a whole bunch of scaffolding for the run. This was excellent for the season.
Rehersals could be held on the bare structure, then se just put a whole lot of debris onto the scaffold for the show.
For the scene change (before "Turning"), all the BOH guys had to do was undo the brakes and wheel the thing off.
It worked so well that we got nominated for an CAT award, just for the barricade.
If you want more info, just drop me a line on cpl_crud@shagtech.com
