Come on everybody, there must be work in Sydney as opposed to work in WA. I'm looking for some work or work experience either in theatre, film, tv, or anything to do with production and post production. I have very little experience but am keen and eager to learn and are dying to get into the industry. My name is Lori and I would greatly appreciate any help you could give me. Lori, there is work in Sydney. But if you want to "better your chances" of getting it, you are doing it wrong. These posts will not get you work. We do not have producers eagerly scanning these boards looking for the next big thing simply on the strength of a few written words. You want work? You have to go out physically and get it. Ring the theatre companies and ask when their auditions are, ring the agents and find out when they are doing their next intake, look up the "Audition" sections of the Sydney street press, look up the NSW section in the Auditions section on this page and make some damn phone calls. Pound the pavement, do the hard yards, get yourself seen.

No actor ever got work by sitting on their arse typing on a net notice board. The sooner you young actors types realise that the better.

Good luck.
