I need a wheelchair

Preferably one of those motorised jobs so I don't have to get out of my seat all day. Oh yeah, and a drinks holder and racing stripes (makes it go faster) and CD stacker...

But that's just me. For our upcoming production of Amadeus we need an old-fashioned article. The older the better. We're talking 1820s here. We had a lead on one, but it fell through. If anyone has one, or knows of one, we'd be most appreciative. Please email me or give me a ring on 9206-0034.

Thanks,
JB

Jarrod -

If that fails, call the Independent Living Centre on 9382 2011 and they might have a really old and crappy one. They loan chairs out for $10 a month, maybe even cheaper if you want one of the old, condemned ones they don't risk with clients anymore. Who knows, they might even have some antiques (or know of where you can get them) for novelty value.

Maybe cover a newer chair in hessian to make it look 'authentic'?

Amanda Chesterton

P.S. 'Romeo and Juliet' at the Rechabites, 8pm, 5-14 July (no performance Monday). See Chesty's promotion up the boy-role-ladder in Shakepeare's most popular play.
