Gobo Holders for Patt 23 Profiles
Sun, 22 Oct 2006, 11:46 amThis is a cry for help. Can anyone tell me where I can acquire Gobo holders for Strand Patt 23 Profiles. An antique lantern I will admit but tis adequate for my use if I can lay my hands on two size A and two size B gobo holders that will fit. Anyone I know here in SA either looks at me blankly or clutches them to his/her heart as though they were worth more than diamonds. I am interested in purchasing rather than hiring or borrowing.

Sun, 22 Oct 2006, 08:28 pmIt will be easiest to make them or get them made by someone in your school or club or a local sheetmetal co.Just measure the size of the slot as there are two sizes of slots in Patt 23's then get any gobo holder so that the metal worker can copy the general idea.With so many different sizes of gobos and slot sizes in the different manufacturers I often knock up a holder for a particular situation, a pair of tin snips and a nibbler will usually make a workable if not pretty holder in about 10 minutes
