We Will Rock You
Sat, 18 Dec 2004, 05:33 pmI have a bone to pick
I have heard multiple tv programs as well as radio talking about Sydneys 'We Will Rock You' as the premier. I would like to point out now that 'We Will Rock You' played in melbourne for a considerable amount of time.
WHAT THE HELL IS THIS??
If someone could clear thiis up for me that would be great.

And prior to Melbourne it was on in Perth (I saw it in early June), and of course it was on prior to that in other places, notably London.
A premiere event could be the first time it plays in the world, in the country, in the state, in the city, in the particular theatre...the sphere of reference depends on who's doing the advertising.
Of course, the simple answer to the question you ask above is that the TV and radio are wrong: Sydney's premier is Bob Carr.
