Hi Rave, I'm in Perth.
Mon, 4 Dec 2006, 03:13 pmHi Rave, I'm in Perth. This is my 3rd year auditioning for certificate. I'm working full-time and the course sounds like a great option for me, without having to give up my day job. Some BA students I've spoken to have auditioned up to 5 times before being successful. And from other posts I've read on this site, some have auditioned up to 10 times?! crazy stuff! Talk about persistence. It's a good indication of character - being able to handle criticism/knock backs. Such is the nature of the industry. If you don't get in this time, make sure you keep up the skills (vocal lessons, dance classes etc) and try again next year if this is something you really want. This is the advice I have been offered in previous years by the panel. The way I look at it, what have we got to lose? Auditions for MT at WAAPA only come around once a year so might as well keep trying - hopefully perserverance and commitment pays off!
