dont worry
I have been talking to a few ppl who got call backs and one didnt sing all of their songs they were cut off mid song but did mono, one person only did one song no mono.
Its been different for everyone. What state you in.
Im interested now cos I didnt audition for the cert only BA and Im now in Sydney. How many years have you tried to get in or is this your first year?

Hi Rave, I'm in Perth.
Hi Rave, I'm in Perth. This is my 3rd year auditioning for certificate. I'm working full-time and the course sounds like a great option for me, without having to give up my day job. Some BA students I've spoken to have auditioned up to 5 times before being successful. And from other posts I've read on this site, some have auditioned up to 10 times?! crazy stuff! Talk about persistence. It's a good indication of character - being able to handle criticism/knock backs. Such is the nature of the industry. If you don't get in this time, make sure you keep up the skills (vocal lessons, dance classes etc) and try again next year if this is something you really want. This is the advice I have been offered in previous years by the panel. The way I look at it, what have we got to lose? Auditions for MT at WAAPA only come around once a year so might as well keep trying - hopefully perserverance and commitment pays off!

For Cert, in WA- generally
For Cert, in WA- generally as a rule of thumb, once (if) you recieve a callback, you only perform your songs, and dont do your monologue...however, sometimes they may request your monologue (for a number of reasons, eg; voice isn't up to standards)...
But yeh....It just depends really.

ALL those who got into cert
I have been informed that ALL those who got into cert last year were asked to do one song and their monologue at the call back. The panel chose the song on the spot so you didnt know which one of the songs you were doing. but definately the monologue. that was 2005 though
