Just a WAAPA audition question
Sun, 1 Oct 2006, 05:42 pmHi all,
Was just wondering what everyone's opinions are on what is approipriate for me (female) to wear for my WAAPA (Music Theatre) audition? Also, should I avoid overdone hair and makeup at all costs?
Even if your opinion is uninformed...your two cents are welcome :)
Thanks!
P.S. Sorry about the trivial questions, but I just couldn't get my head around this one :S

heya! well they suggest hardly any make up so definately DO NOT overdo your make up or hair, i dont think they would like that at all. Also the dress is smart casual, so dont rock up in formal wear like i know some people have done in the past... They want to see a breif outline of your body, so go for jeans and a nice top or something along those lines, also do not opt for low cut shirts with your boobs hanging out on display, they absolutely hate that. they want to get to know you as a person and see your raw talent without all the makeup and hair.. because their will always be time for that later!! This is what i was hold by David King (head of music thetare at WAAPA) at an audition masterclass. Hope this helps :)
