The other night I was invited out to the theatre with a friend of mine, who is a regular theatre goer, when I was told the play was in Kwinana I was a little reluctant to travel the distance but I did and was extremely delighted with my decision. The play was a two hander called the owl and the Pussycat. From the instance the lights came up I was in ore at the talent and ambience of a truly delightful and well crafted performance, The two performers have a wonderful stage presence and a chemistry which is a sadly not often experienced in theatre these days. During the interval I was amazed to hear that this production was put together in only three weeks, but it truly shows a level of professional commitment from both actors and the director. On a sadder note I was disappointed to see only 21 people in the audience, And also to hear that there has been small audiences every night. I have only lived in Perth for 5 months but a play with talent like this should be more recognised and supported by other thespians no matter how far the distance to travel. My thanks goes out to the two actors and director for a wonderful night out, And I will certainly be watching out for any other shows that these two actors appear in. Richard.
