Garrick Theatre's latest production, directed by Norma Standing is another powerful play which demands much of both actors and audience. This was evident last night , full house and you could have heard a pin drop (apart from overhead Boeings)

The story line is 3 people, an American (Jarrad West) an Irishman (Jon Lloyd)and an Englishman (David McGarr) have been kidnapped by Lebanese terrorists and imprisoned in a room devoid of windows and with only the Bible and the Koran for reading matter. how do they cope?
Well, acting wise, magnificently. It was impossible to single out any one of the three but I have to say that David's look of anguish/terror/hope as he ends up beig the only one still imprisoned after one has been released and the other ?shot, ? released will stay with me for a long time.

So how do they cope. with humour and mutual support interspersed with anger at each other over often minor details. In spite of it's grim subject this play has many lighter moments interspersed with the fear and boredom of their captivity.
If you like a play which involves you in the action and to see three fine performances go and see Someone Who'll Watch Over Me

Well, what can I say? It was brilliant. Thrilling, spellbinding, emotional, draining - all of those and more. The contained energy of the actors, chained to the wall with only water bottles and each other as props, is enough to leave the audience exhausted!

If you want to see an excellent show - go and see this one. But you better hurry I think it's only on for 2 more nights.

It must be extremely demanding on the actors, the director, et al, but it is certainly well worth it. Great work everyone!
