How much does your theatre company spend on promotion?

Five cents for every photocopy. Forty five cents for every stamp and how much did the envelopes cost? Multiply this by 200, 500 or even 1,000. About $500 to reach 1,000 people.

Your promotion material will be seen on this site by more than 1,000 visitors every week and it won't cost you a cent!

That's twice as many "copies" as the monthly ITA Link in a single week.

The number of people visiting the site has doubled every two months since the beginning of the year.

I sometimes wonder if some people realise this when i see the money and effort they're investing in other media and they don't bother to take the time to copy from their word processor and paste a free message here.

While on the subject... it is great to see a number of companies now choosing to include the web address of the ITA site on their promotional material

www.theatre.asn.au

It takes up next to no space and provides a means for your audience to stay in touch with your company and its other productions. It's also a great way of doing your bit to foster and encourage the growth of a strong culture of participation in the performing arts.

Cheers

Grant, I replied to this yesterday but because of tech probs (your end) my prose got lost..........anyway, what I said was that I absolutely agree with you about using this fantastic site as a FREE resource to advertise. I recently posted an 'Auditions' notice for the Irish Theatre Players. We had a good crowd show up and managed to cast all plays for our one act season in September. All bar one, had read about Auditions on this site. All are new faces to the Irish Theatre Players and we were bowled over by the excellent standard of acting. We're thrilled with our catch and audiences will see some exciting new (to ITP) talent on our stage.
Thank you for providing this service.
