I find it interesting, that time after time, when audition notices are posted, that they fail to mention cast requirements. Surely it would be more practical to list the age and sex of the cast required, there and then, than to have those that are interesed, ringing the director, only to find that there is no part in the play for an 80 year old actor, or to be asked by the director "Are you a 20 year old female, with red hair"

" My rationale (let me know if this is lame) has been that people might have missed an audition, but frequently directors don't cast their shows immediately and may appreciate a call from someone who missed the audition - see Brenda's recent post! "

Does anyone actually ring up though, after the event, just to see if something wasnt cast? Sure you might do it if youre buddies with the director, but I dont know if Id call up two weeks late looking all disorganised to ask if all the parts are filled???

Kimberleys Dad, you and my mum have something in common, her online nick is JaysMum :o)
