When they can do the same show 'a bit further down the road' and capitalise on what they have outlayed. In almost all situations the productions can be done in a soft set, with minimal transport required. I'm not advocating that you have to travel 200km or more to make it worth while - just the other side of the city or the next town/suburb would ring the till for them.Even if you have a purposely built, hired or found space Theatre, you are black more times than being alight. Sure most would say a season here is more than enough - so don't cast them! I'm sure if they know from the planning stage or later at the auditions - they will do it!It can't be hard to work out the logistics of calender, venues and transport even a year in advance, it does not matter which show you do 'book the space' it will happen.Joe 'wheres those pills' McCabe
