I dont know what GarryT had to say but, I saw the opening night of Godspell and it was fantastic. It had the usual techinical hitches that almost spoilt the entire performance, but Adam Webb (director) has once again been able to assemble a fine cast that could out perform Mr Blizzar I'm sure.I remember seeing this show when it was first performed all those years ago and anyone else of my ilk will remember the great rythms of the 70's. I dont usually agree with changing the script but this one really does benefit from a face lift.I wont single out any cast members because I think they all did a fine job but i will say this the underlying message was delivered with sincerity and grace which makes the show more of a religious experience than a bit of musical theatre. So go see it, take the family, it finishes early, you will home in bed by 10:30, its fun, energetic, charasmatic and very funny. Even if you dont believe in God or our Lord Jesus Christ you will enjoy this show.Kristine Lockwood

> Hi Eliot> i am concerned that an apparently amateur, "non-profit"> incorporated association charging "professional" ticket> prices can appear to generate six figure profits per annum on the> backs of unpaid actors.> Isn't that worth wondering about?Yes it is, and here's the crux of the biscuit (apologies for the Zappa phrase). It's worth wondering about how this money is apportioned, but until this company opens "the books" in an effort to show "transparency" (buzz word- #89546), we'll be eternally lumbered with this quandary. Do other "semi-pro/pro-am" companies in Perth (and I'm sure they exist) reap such bounteous harvests per annum, or is PC a freak of nature?Anyone know who's PC's accountant?? :-)> There are few enough opportunities in this town for people endeavouring> to make a career in the performing arts.I certainly agree with this, but I must confess to a lack of sympathy having failed to conquer the universe in my field (music). So if anyone dares to succeed where I failed, I'll go into my Salieri rant ("Mediocrities of the world...."etc).Yours bouncing off the walls of my cell,El.
