Shakespeare's As You Like It

The most exciting community theatre production of 1999 may well end up being the fifth anniversary production of Shakespeare in the New Fortune Theatre.John Milson, ex-head of the Musical Theatre programme at the WA Academy of Performing Arts directs this joint production by the Graduate Dramatic Society and the University Dramatic Society.Over the past five years these joint productions have delighted and excited audiences with their fresh and lively interpretations of some of the greatest plays ever written. In the face of fresh competition from Shakespeare in the park and at the Festival of Perth, this project has built its audience in each successive year.A truly awesome team of actors, designers and technicians have been assembled for this production of As You Like It. Including many old faces from previous productions returning to add their experience to a youthful and talented company. Some of the participants in the earliest productions return now as academy students or graduates.The show will run the last two weeks of January and first of February next year.
