home remedies
Fri, 23 Oct 1998, 10:48 amDoes anyone out in musical theatre land know of any good remedies to keep a sore throat at bay for the season. As our whole cast have never sung in a show before i think we will need all the help we can get.SharonAcorn Theatre

Fri, 23 Oct 1998, 01:12 pmHi Sharoni'm sure you've thought of this already, but i guess the best "remedy" might be to avoid the sore throat in the first place:)perhaps you could find a good singing teacher to take you through some exercises to strengthen your voices and to lead warm-ups prior to performance?Any takers? When i've overdone it though (try two un-miked outdoor shows per day, 7 days a week to 2,000+ audiences!) hot lemon and honey, avoid milk drinks and chocolate, and have a glass of port and a glass of orange juice after the show.Good luck.Cheers,Grant
