Suggestion for new page heading
Fri, 6 Aug 2004, 09:37 amHaving read the many posts from young hopefuls looking for guidance on this website, I'd like to make a suggestion.
Perhaps a new area could be created for tips on how to get started in theatre. With the wealth of knowledge held by the experienced actors within these posts I'm sure a very informative guide would result. This would reduce the number of posts requesting auditions, agents, jobs etc, as well as reduce the many repetitive replies.

Fri, 13 Aug 2004, 05:50 pmWell thats great to hear
But i think users of this site can do a few things to elevate it from becoming a mish mash of back slapping, advertorials and general flotsam
A few things.
One. Please don't rate your own posts
Two. Full names only on review pages (stand by your words!). No pseudonyms for the sake of advertising a loved ones show. I re-read all the positings for the last few months (yes, i was bored) and only a handful are actualy reviews, a lot are done by ex cast members, husbands and people with heavy vested interest. i dont mind them doing it but tell us your interest.
Three; Keep to the correct forums
Four; Dont multi post
Lets not abuse the resource that is here. i'm sick of people saying, " The ITA sight is pointless. i never look at it now"
There you go. Five second rant. putting soapbox away
[%sig%]
