Gender Poll
Wed, 27 Aug 2003, 08:43 amCraig wonders whether he should add “Other” to the new poll. Until recently, I would have said that he should, however, the recent Old Mill Theatre production of "Breaker Morant" did, we suspect, set some sort of a theatrical record ... 19 blokes ... and all of them straight!
Although I must admit, I was beginning to find one of the cast rather attractive, but she turned out to be the only bird in the cast and reckoned she was straight as well.
For those who worry about this heterosexual imbalance, there may be some comfort in the fact that to a man, the blokes all admitted to being lesbians trapped in male bodies.

Until recently, Greg, I too would have suggested that he should have added "other". But then, I look back at the shows I've done in the last couple of years, and at how many of them have I been the show's "Token Poof".
Maybe I've just been hanging out at the wrong theatres...
And to break the stereotypes even further...
Of those shows where I have been "Token", for most of them I have been one of, if not THE, blokiest guys in the show.
