FOR THE LOVE OF GOD!!!
Wed, 9 Jan 2002, 08:56 amPLEASE PLEASE PLEASE people!!!!! When someone posts an audition notice on this page RESPOND TO THEM PERSONALLY!!! This means clicking on their name at the top of their message and sending them an email. Posting back onto this page and telling the whole world you are interested IS POINTLESS and above all ANNOYING.
I know this has been said before (thank you Amanda) but the other readers of this notice board do not need to become involved in audition time negotions and CV swapping. You have a far better chance of getting an audition by emailing the director and asking for one. Not just randomly telling the world you are interested and waiting for the Hollywood movie offers to start flooding in.
OK it's early and some stole my "Have you seen this chicken?" mug, but, grumpy Leah or no, I beleive the point is still a good one.

One little point.
If you have the postings on this site forwarded to you via e-mail, they do NOT contain the individual's e-mail address at the top.
I would therefore agree that it is advisable to include your e-mail address in the text of your message, as Amanda suggested, if you are fishing for replies.
Ah yes. Sounds like a feasible suggestion, but to keep with the fishing metaphor, it's a red herring.
If you get the posting delivered to you via email (as I do), and you wish to reply, you have to click on the weblink that sends you to their posting on the site...and then you're back to where we started - their email link is right there at the top waiting for your reply.
So you can always choose to reply to the individual or to the whole board.
Choose wisely.
Cheers.
