Fri, 1 May 2009, 10:44 pmEarly reports are starting to surface regarding a bizarre and potentially devastating twist in the swine influenza crisis:
"We've discovered a new and highly dangerous mutation in the virus," a World Health Organisation expert warned.
"It appears that the avian influenza virus has intermixed with the porcine virus, creating a new and even more deadly strain," she was quoted as saying.
Scientists are referring to the new disease as 'Swine Flew'.
The WHO expert warned that the deadly new virus could cause bizarre behaviour in its victims.
"Pigs might fly," she warned.

On a totally unrelated topic- Doesn't 'The Life of Galileo' open tonight at the Subiaco Arts Centre? I've heard it's going to be awesome.
I'll be going along. I just hope lots of other people are too. I would not want any one to miss out on this ecs... ecks... (psst! Garreth! How do I say this bit? Oh, right thanks) ... on this extravaganza of Brechtian theatre as performed by the wonderfully talented members of the WA Youth Theatre Company.
