Wolf Lullaby
Tue, 14 Aug 2001, 11:55 amIn a bleak, remote town a small child is murdered. Suspicion falls on nine year old Lizzie. Her young mother, Angela must make the tortuous choice between ignoring her intuition or presenting her child to the police.
Are killers born or made?
What happens when ordinary people are placed in extraordinary circumstances?
Right, everybody get out your diaries and jot down this info -
August 28th to Sept 2nd. Recabites Hall. Wolf Lullaby.
Directed by myself ( Indira McDonald ) with one of the most amazing ensemble casts I have ever worked with -
AMANDA CREWES - from the illustrious Crewes family with a CV as long as your arm - (unless you have really, really long arms)
CRAIG WILLIAMS - Shakespeare in the Park, Black Swan and just about everything Barking Gecko has ever produced.
JAMIE CANT - Blue Room Board member and director of the highly acclaimed Cabaret at the Dean.
JENNY McCANN - from... well lets face it, who does'nt know Jenny and her impressive body of work?
Not too shabby Huh?
I thought I'd died and gone to heaven when all these talented people said "YES"
This formidable line-up coupled with Hilary Bell's provocative script promises to be a high point in the Perth Theatre calendar.( And I'm not just saying that because I'm directing, but because it's half way through rehearsals and I'm more excited than Big Kev!!!)
Don't miss this show
I repeat
Do not miss this show
Tickets are selling very quickly so you should reserve your seats by calling 9454 4620.
At $15 and $12conc tickets are well below the average Recabite/Blue Room prices because we wanted to make sure you did not miss this show!
Can't wait to see you all there

Tue, 14 Aug 2001, 04:57 pmWhooooo there interstate-annoyed-for-no-reason guy or girl!! A simple, "what state are you in cause I'd like to see your facinating sounding play if I could" would have sufficed.
Like it or not this is still a predominanly WA site and we WA type people will be prone to the odd forgetting to mention the show is in WA. If you WERE in WA chances are you would know at least one of the people mentioned in Indi's post.
So on behalf of Indi (and desperately trying to be as lissom and gorgeous as she (should be worth a discounted ticket - wait, did I type that out loud?)) I say this was probably a simple oversight and to try not to get your interstate knickers in such a twist over something relatively simple.
And I will also say I pity you for not having the opportunity to see a show that sounds like it's going to be simply brilliant. Great script, great cast, great director. I'm really looking forward to it and having seen the work of everyone involved before, I recommend it (in advance) to those who have not been so fortunate.
