Well known Shakespeare plays
Mon, 17 Mar 2008, 03:34 pmA review on this site surprised me, and then got me thinking. After all, what I consider to be a well known play is dictated by my experience of play going/doing, etc. and there are bound to be differences, possibly between the states of this big land, maybe even between city and country. When you think "Shakespeare" I wonder which plays spring to mind? I suspect most people would name The Dream, possibly Romeo & Juliet, maybe Julius Ceaser, all depending on what we studied at school of course. But after that?
My personal list includes: Macbeth, Twelfth Night, Hamlet, Much Ado About Nothing, The Comedy of Errors and any number of the history plays.
I'd love to hear your thoughts...
