Well known Shakespeare plays

A review on this site surprised me, and then got me thinking. After all, what I consider to be a well known play is dictated by my experience of play going/doing, etc. and there are bound to be differences, possibly between the states of this big land, maybe even between city and country. When you think "Shakespeare" I wonder which plays spring to mind? I suspect most people would name The Dream, possibly Romeo & Juliet, maybe Julius Ceaser, all depending on what we studied at school of course. But after that? My personal list includes: Macbeth, Twelfth Night, Hamlet, Much Ado About Nothing, The Comedy of Errors and any number of the history plays. I'd love to hear your thoughts... Rapunzel

A Midsummer Nights Dream Hamlet Macbeth. These are my top three that instantly pop into my head. Saying that I've read quite a few more. Twelfth Night, Romeo/Juliet, Julius Ceasar, Much Ado, Henry V, As You Like It, Merchant of Venice, Comedy of Errors etc etc. Some I like more then others. And his poetry isn't too bad either. I've studied these plays, been in productions of them, seen productions of them but also read them just for the sake of reading them. ~ Tari The Writer is a child forever listening at the keyhole of the adult world.
