G'day All I’ve seen a few members inquiring about stage combat courses. There seems to be a genuine interest in violence on stage/film :) And why not!!! It is a fantastic skill to have and always looks good on a CV. My question is then…what is the genuine feel out there if a school was created to teach people stage combat??? I’ve been doing martial arts for over 7 years and my brother and I are both professional Choreographers. We are currently doing martial arts scenes for an animation that, if all goes well, will be show and sold to Hollywood. We are also currently helping out for an amateur dramatics stage play where we will be teaching people how to fight with a scythe (Death’s weapon). Ultimately it is always easier when people have had training in martial arts but I just want to get a feel for what people think… Let me know…Oh and don’t forget to smile :) David Green DRAGON FILMS

Thank you Andy.

I must really check my comments more. My comments in reference to cost were more on a general basis. Your courses in particular come highly recommended and I did not mean to slander them in anyway, even relating to cost. My personal issues with being able to afford courses is of course personal. Andy, I am not as naive as you may think of me and I feel bad for the rather flat note our 'discussions' ended previously. I am well aware of costs and that nothing comes free, as much as one would like. It has been a long and frustrated wish to be able to attend a course of yours and is still a goal I have not yet given up on.

Your costs are about what would be expected for the industry and in recognition of the professional standards involved. I have seen other courses which obviously think their course is the bee-knees and charge sometimes double what you do.

Actually, I was unaware of the Master Classes and must have missed the posting you mentioned which of course is my failure. I would certainly look forward to any news on these also.

For any mis-understandings of mis-communications, I apologise publicly. I freely acknowledge that you have the respect and admiration of a number of people that I myself respect and work with. While we have not met, I would still like that opportunity.
