I agree with the third part, there are far more effective ways to look for work.
But it's not true that age is such a barrier. Over the past decade Perth has produced several top children's drama series where the majority of the cast were school-aged actors. Where film shoots cause you to miss days of school, it is a requirement that tutors are provided and time allowed in the schedule for you to continue your lessons privately.
There are plenty of kids who are represented by agents, and get sent to audition for TV shows, films, commercials, print ads, and (less regularly) radio voiceovers.
But the agents are NOT going to be looking for you here! Look them up yourself, prepare your audition material/photos/resume, and contact THEM.
