Playwrite,needs help with workshoping new play,about single women
Mon, 6 Jan 2003, 11:35 amA new playwrite requires help to further develop play,by workshopping it,by interested director,actors. in second draft, I have had many years experience as an actress on the stage in Sydney, and have aloswritten skits,and directed, I am trying my hand at playwriting and need help to further develope it. Any one interested?
The plays is about single women in a mainly married majority society.And the bias they are subjected to because of being single.the four main characters are women of different backgrounds and age groups,one a professional,business divocred woman in her 40s.a single mother in her 30s.A widow in her 50s.a retired school principal in her 60s.All have different back grounds, but the same common thread in life that of being single. Do they want to be single?Are they better off being single?
The play interacts with the audience as well. It comes from years of life experience and research ,on being divorced,single and what other single women can relate to,it has a sense of lifes comedy,tragedy,pain,and questions on society.It has a large cast,(at this stage).
