Hiring Specialty Lights
Wed, 12 Dec 2001, 09:53 pmDoes anyone in Perth know of a Specialty Lighting Company that hires out to local theatres, that dosn't charge extortion rates. I was after a "spin around strob type" (Please excuse my technical term) of effect for a dance number, in my next production.
And lets not of a whole week of english lessons as a result of the WA Schools system.

Sharon, Mabe try Matrix Lighting (they're the best talk to darryl). What you are looking for is a robo-scan which should go for around the $30 a night range(probably less they're kind of old school now). I know that sounds repulsively expensive but most places will do you a cheaper deal for a weeks hire. Other places are AVLA and Stage and connections. Ring around you never know. Also if you have any connections in the club scene they may have an old one in storage that they aren't using at the moment. Good luck.
