We are a group of third year Curtin film students making a short mockumentary, and we are looking for actors!! Our movie is called The Road to the Sandmen. It's a mockumentary set in the future where people are able to upload their dreams to the internet via YouSnooze. The film follows a group of various nominees for The Sandmen Awards, which is given out to the best dream. Currently we are shooting the pilot for the film, and are looking for 3 characters: Bruno: A man in his late 40's-late50's and of Eastern European origin. Bruno has a thick accent so it would be great if you could do this type of accent, places such as Russia and Serbia are preferable. Hortense: A female, mid 30's to late 40's. Hortense is a professional dream critic Child figure: A child under the age of 12, boy or girl. They are a creepy child in Bruno's dream. They will be standing in a field for a long time. We begin filming the pilot toward the end of April, if you are interested in any of these roles and would like to read our script please contact Amanda on: 0422519560 or at roadtosandmen@hotmail.com Auditions will commence towards the beginning of April. This is a purely volunteer gig, however we will provide you with food, fun and goodtimes.

Have you found someone to play Hortense?

I'm 43 and am doing an Arts degree (Theatre Studies/Comms) at Notre Dame in Freo. I'm nearly finished so only have to do one unit this semester. I'd love to play Hortense if you haven't found someone yet. I'll reply to your email with a photo. Cheers, Cat

Directly

Questions such as these should be forwarded directly to the contact details provided in the listing. You will get a quicker response as they may not necessarily check here all that often.
