The Head Rigger we would like to hire will manage and supervise riggers as well as all rigging department operations. In addition, he will assist the Director with hiring new riggers, managing departmental budgets and producing capital expense projections. He will provide advice, recommendations and information on any safety issue related to working high above the ground and climbing equipment. Furthermore, he will manage use and maintenance of rigging equipment employed by artists during performances, rehearsals and training periods. Join our team and apply your College diploma (or equivalent) in live entertainment or theatre production, your six to eight years' relevant experience as a rigger, including experience with aerial or human rigging, your technical knowledge of rigging equipment, your personnel management experience as well as your availability to tour full time and to work in foreign countries.

Gawd if I was only 50 years

Gawd if I was only 50 years younger, I'd be off like a dirty shirt!

I remember running off to join the circus once, I think I was about 7 at the time, but ended up catching the wrong bus. I got off at Piccadilly & had to walk back home to our digs in Golders Green.

I agree it is a fantastic opportunity, not only for the blokes. I have worked with a couple of female riggers, who were brilliant and still had all their muscles in the right places.
