You're right - the problem is in how the site works. But I have no control over that, and we did begin a discussion mid-year on how to improve things, and make some suggestions to Grant. The suggestion of using the relevant location hasn't been attacked - at least not by me, because I've repeatedly encouraged people to use the state selector. But you can't force people to do things a certain way, and no matter how the site is set up, people will either find ways to do things differently, or simply ignore the methods. Perhaps you should also check the stats on my recent poll of how many people use the search, and what they think of it. Most people don't use the search function. Which says more about user behaviour than about the uselessness of site functions. And there is a 'forum' for auditions: the auditions page. The point is that new people don't bother looking at it.
