Members Wanted for Youth Theatre Co!

Wanted: Actors, Technicians and anybody just willing to lend a hand! :) The Western Suburbs Youth Theatre Company (WSYTC) is an amateur theatre company that is growing and evolving with each production. With a membership of actors, administrators and backstage crew from 17-26, we aim to put on good quality plays with enthusiastic and reliable individuals in a sociable environment. We rehearse each Sunday in Nedlands and perform in Mosman Park. We have just finished our successful production of ‘Popcorn’ by Ben Elton and are planning to hold auditions very soon. We are keen to see some fresh faces at rehearsals! The next few plays we are currently looking at require quite a few males, so there are some great opportunities for committed guys to get some experience. Grant, I admit my statement was rather global, but I think it goes without saying that the ITA Website is an absolute goldmine for networking and has done wonders for the minimalistic communication that occurs otherwise. I of course was not refering to the site in anyway.

Nor do I wish to imply that there is no networking at all. It is certainly there and projects such as this site only serve to further that. It is a work in progress.

I am flabbergasted at the apparent 'ignorance' (the non-insulting definition) ;-) of the availability of theatre in Perth and WA. Being a little more on the inside myself and knowing how much is out there, And also being aware that certain groups mentioned in previous postings of this thread have used this site to promote themselves previously, I am surprised and a little saddened when someone makes a comment along the lines of the one by 'Walter Plinge' on the 3-8-06 entitled 'What's your definition of...'. The fact is, I hear that sort of statement alot.

Grant, I do believe there is a network out there and we are a part of it. It just seems to me that the network is a little too exclusive. Does that make sense?
