Come and celebrate with Perth's newest youth theatre company, Pear Shaped Theatre!
To celebrate our incorporation, announce ourselves to the world and fundraise for upcoming projects, Pear Shaped Theatre is holding a Gala Cocktail Party! With thrilling performances from a diverse range of WA artists - from swing dancers to fire twirlers to jazz musicians - and lots of prizes to be won, this promises to be the party of the year! There will be hors d'oeuvres served throughout the evening, and drinks will be available to purchase from the bar.

As a non-profit organisation, all funds raised from this event will help us to create opportunities for young people to be involved in theatre and the arts. So support youth arts and join us for a glamorous night of celebration and entertainment like no other!

Sharon,

Being one who is involved, albeit on the peripery perifer periphi per... edge of discussions of forming a new theatre group, I am interested to know what type of non-profit making organisation you are. Is it that you plan to make a loss or that all profits get distributed amongts the organisers or directors or cast or what?
Or are you an amateur group with no payment for cast etc.

If anyone from the Act 1 scene 2 is out there, I'd be interested to know how you function in this regard too.

I also note that your up-coming audition has ages from 20 - 45. Is this a 'role' age and you plan to fill them with youth or are you wanting all comers to audition, you don't say?

Do you have your own venue or a permanent hire place or what?

Michael
