Hi my name is Kim. I want to start acting and I am thinking of joining the Sydney Talent Company in Quakers Hill, Sydney. Would that be the right thing to do. I am keen on acting, singing and dancing and I want to be a performer. I am turning 13 now am I to late to start acting? I heared that actors need a acting resume (or otherwise known as CV) in auditions if I go to this Talent Company will they give me some kind of form I need to fill out? If I am to have an acting resume would the Rock Eisteddford be allowed to be included because it does require a bit of drama.
If anyone can help I will appreciate it. I need to know the first step to getting into acting. Thank you !

Hi Kim. What time is it over there? If it's too late, you might have to go to bed now and put off starting acting until tomorrow.

I started acting reasonably young - first professional gig the year I turned 19. I'd been acting solidly before that, in amateur theatre, for about three years. But I didn't do drama at school, or even think about it as an option until I was in the middle of Year 12.

At 13, you're in an ideal position to start. Get lessons at school or drama clubs, and muck around with it for a while until you decide whether it's what you really want to do. Have fun!

Cheers,
Craig
