New actor
Tue, 16 Oct 2001, 04:13 pmI'm an inexperienced actor with an ambition for screen acting. I have had little experience with acting but feel inspired by acting and have a flair for the stage. I get stage fright, and don't have much confidence, but would like to continue with acting. Iam only 16 years old and I was wondering if anyone had suggestions for me fulfilling my anticipated career. I wish to obtain an agent and any suggestions for starting my career, obtaining an agent and gaining more experience would be greatly appreciated! Thank you.

Depending on which state you are from, there are many community theatre groups around the place. Most of them are exremely professional and put on GREAT shows. In fact, many young peopl who end up at WAAPA (West Australian Academy of Performing Arts) NIDA (National Institute of Dramatic Art), etc start out in community theatre groups.
