What's on at Stirling Players?
Wed, 3 Oct 2001, 03:51 pmI'm looking at getting back into theatre. Anyone know what auditions are currently going at Stirling? They're just around the corner from me.
I write this while holding my three-week daughter Hayley so I am typing one handed. Excuse any mistakes ... ;-)

Plenty of companies are now getting their own sites online - which is great. But you'd be surprised how many companies get a site going and immediately stop adding their info here.
"Why should we add our details to Theatre Australia? We've got our own website now."
Um... maybe because somewhere between 50-100 times as many people will visit Theatre Australia as your own site?
Case in point? In spite of constant encouragement the Blueroom does not add details of its programme to Theatre Australia. They've got a great site of their own, why should they?
Check their site and you'll find it's had 3,579 visits in the last 17 months. Theatre Australia has about that many visitors in a week - about 70 times as much traffic!!
By including a link back to your own site for further info rather than including all the details at Theatre Australia, you can encourage some of those visitors to visit your own sites. Hopefully they'll become regulars at the sites of companies they know and love.
