What's on at Stirling Players?

I'm looking at getting back into theatre. Anyone know what auditions are currently going at Stirling? They're just around the corner from me.

I write this while holding my three-week daughter Hayley so I am typing one handed. Excuse any mistakes ... ;-)

Jeff! Good to have you back. Don't feel too badly about typing one-handed, Dean Schulze manages it all the time.

Hi,

Last I heard 'Stirling Players' were looking for a couple of males for their production of "Abducting Diana". Ring Barry on: 92451952.

Cheers,
W.H.

RE: What's on at Stirling Players?

Thanks Jarrod. After a longish break, my dramatic nature is spilling out into real-life. Not a pretty site I can assure you. I need to direct this energy more efficiently or I'll risk annoying my family and friends more than I already have. LOL LOL LOL

Dean Shulze? Must be a miracle worker then ;-) Besides, what choice do I have when I can't put my darling daughter down?

RE: What's on at Stirling Players?

Stirling's current production is "Shirley Valentine", starring Stephanie Axon as Shirley, at their new venue - the Innaloo Community Centre, Morris Place, Innaloo;
October 4-6, 9-13, bookings 9440 1040 (10-6 daily).

Planned for Nov/Dec is "Abducting Diana", directed by Barry Lefort, who was (in September) looking for 2 or 3 more males aged 20s to 50 - 9245 1954.

They haven't as yet publicised plans for 2002 & don't have a wesite (or at least not linked to this site). you could also contact President Brian Maddocks 9448 2059 or Secretary Janet Branswood 9247 2911.

Cheers .. BarbZ

Plenty of companies are now getting their own sites online - which is great. But you'd be surprised how many companies get a site going and immediately stop adding their info here.

"Why should we add our details to Theatre Australia? We've got our own website now."

Um... maybe because somewhere between 50-100 times as many people will visit Theatre Australia as your own site?

Case in point? In spite of constant encouragement the Blueroom does not add details of its programme to Theatre Australia. They've got a great site of their own, why should they?

Check their site and you'll find it's had 3,579 visits in the last 17 months. Theatre Australia has about that many visitors in a week - about 70 times as much traffic!!

By including a link back to your own site for further info rather than including all the details at Theatre Australia, you can encourage some of those visitors to visit your own sites. Hopefully they'll become regulars at the sites of companies they know and love.

Question: Now how did you get the Hyperlink to work?
