Rechabites vs Subiaco
Mon, 15 June 2009, 10:38 pmSimple Question:
It has been suggested that Subiaco Arts Centre is the alternative venue now that the Rechabites Hall ahs been closed - is this the only alternative (in comparison with cost, fee's and location)???
I look forward to your thoughts - suggestions

The Subiaco Arts Centre is
Mon, 15 June 2009, 11:49 pmThe Subiaco Arts Centre is considerably more expensive than what the rechabites was... I can't remember the exact fee off the top of my head. However, the facilities at the subiaco arts centre are also MUCH better than they were at Rechabites. For example Subi arts centre dosen't shudder in a light breeze (ok... maybe i'm taking some artistic license there... OR AM I? *raises eyebrow*).
I can see the studio space being a possible alternative for a company on a rechabites budget, the large space is considerably more expensive.
Apart from the polished floorboards in the studio space (which I am told are heritage listed, hence the polish) it's a nice space to perform in and intimate as those who saw "Life of Galileo" will attest. Like Rechabites the seating in Subi Studio space can be reconfigured and can be configured into raked seating as well.
