Sydney Orchestra mimed in 2000 Olympics

Apparently the Sydney Orchestra 'mimed' to a pre-recording ... by the Melbourne Orchestra!!!
I can't believe any of our big music groups would be both so stupid, and so without pride as to do something like this. What are we coming to?
