Government House Ballroom - Has anyone been there?
Mon, 4 Feb 2008, 10:31 amIf you see a concert at Government House Ballroom, is the seating raked? Is there a stage?
I'd like to see the Australian String Quartet, but my companion is very petite and we are wondering about sightlines.
BOCS could not help.
Does anyone know the venue.

Mon, 4 Feb 2008, 05:47 pmseating is on the floor, and the quartet will likely be on the stage, which is slightly raised.
If you're up the back you might have trouble seeing anything, but this venue's sound is stunning.
I personally think that I'd rather listen to this kind of ensemble in a good acoustic, than look at them anywhere!
