If you intend to travel overseas and hopefully work on stage (US, UK) and you have the opportunity to get British or Australian passport what are the advantages of each one? Can you have both ? (one parent born in UK)

I guess I should point out that you are not entitled to enter the green card lottery if you are entitled to have a British passport whether you have one or not. This also applies to other countries and has applied to Australian citizens at various times. Is that all there is?
