I'm a theatre design/tech graduate from the States and have a few years experience working in theatre (shops, backstage, etc.). I was wondering if anyone could give advice on how to get a start in Australia. I'd be glad to send a cv if it would be of any use. Thanks for any help you can offer.

Send your cv to any of the major performaing arts complexes in the city of interest. Australia has mainly casual based work in the theatre industry and it has been possible, with a little experience, to walk in and get some base work with backstage tech crew in your area.
