a budding tree

the problem is: a 3500mm 3-ply cut out tree with 2 branches, left and right, at about 2600 with a platform (and ladder) behind at 2500. The two branches are bare in act one, but, come spring, sprout leaves, top and bottom, VISIBLY, during act two. Any ideas, please.
