Hi all

As in the previous statement and just so as to be less confused, we are looking for a licenced rigger to work the fly rig and help set up the fly rig at bump in and tech rehearsals for bankstown town hall theatre - so it is a fly rigger, not a lighting rigger we are looking for...

Thanks

re: rigger for production

Hi Jonathon,
If you Ring Tri point Rigging or Pollards in Sydney they are 2 professional rigging companies out of Sydney.
Always be careful with hiring freelance Riggers as you need to ensure that they have public liability insurance, unless your public liability insurance covers "rigging" and ensure they are properly licenced with a federal licence for the type of works required. The federal Rigging licence has 4 stages, dogging, basic, intermediate and advanced. Dogging and Basic may not cover what you require so also be careful with this.
In our Company Showtech, we require our crew to have a minimum of Intermediate and more than 3 years experience in the Entertainment Industry before they actually do any theatrical rigging on their own unsupervised.

Hope this helps
