Here is a great opportunity for all you Stage Manager type people out there.
The Graduate Dramatic Society is staging Will Shakespeare's "The Tempest" during the last two weeks of February next year in The New Fortune Theatre at UWA and our Stage Manager has had to withdraw due to the opportunity of some paid work.
As such, the opportunity arises for some other Stage Manager to do Shakespeare in a genuine Shakesperean theatre working with the highly acclaimed Mr. John Milson.
The cast is superb (and I can't mention names because I would sure as hell forget someone and look a total dill) and all is in place. All we need is you oh lucky SM-person.
If you would like to avail yourself of this once-in-a-lifetime chance, please ring the Production Manager (little moi!) on 0419 949 546 ASAP.

Re: Fancy a bit of SM?

Hi there Dean

I understand that the place has been filled, but do you have all the costumes? I have a costume "design and hire" business called MadMess specialising in period costume. I would be happy to hire or make you any costumes that you may need (just give me a bit of notice). If you're interested check out http://madmess_costumes.tripod.com
I'm not sure how many Elizabethan costumes are on the site but there should be a few and I need to add to the Elizabethan section anyway so I'd love to make some more (assuming that you are doing a traditional style). If not maybe keep me in mind for future productions. I'll be sending a business letter to theatre companies soon just to give you all more details of what I do.

look forward to hearing from you
Merri
