The Basics of Theatrical Lighting with Christel Mathelot

Are you interested in developing a career in the technical industries but lacking hands on experience?
Or perhaps a theatre director wanting to know how to communicate better with the technical crew?
Or even an actor wanting to know what all those lights are actually doing up there in the rig?

If so then The Basics of Theatrical Lighting Course with Christel Mathelot will be of interest to you.

The Basics of Theatrical Lighting is an introductory workshop designed for those who have little or no experience in theatrical lighting but would like to know more.

During this five-hour course you will be provided with plenty of opportunities for hands on experience including how to rig and focus LIGHTS. Christel will also take you through the essential elements of lighting design; the different types of lights and their uses; working with plans and patch sheets; safe rigging practices and troubleshooting a lighting system.

When: 1pm – 6pm, Sunday 31st August
Where: Blue Room Theatre Studio, Northbridge
Cost: $40/25
Special Requirements: Course attendants should wear pants and closed shoes.
