Riggers License in NSW
Tue, 25 Mar 2003, 03:52 pmWhere can one find information about obtaining a riggers license in NSW.
I've been having a look around and can't seem to be any information about it.
Can anyone here help me out?
Cheers

Do you really need one?
If so, Showtech Australia are the guys to speak with. Tiny will come out to your state and conduct a course for 10 or so people, or you can go to Melbourne and do it.
Failing this, the builders union should be able to advise you of riggers courses in NSW: while being aimed more towards scaffolding and construction (obviously), this is recognised (legally) for TDs.
Out of interest, I found a site from one of the riggers at the Sydney Olympics, with photos of rehearsals and 210ft high rig points(!)
Alan! freshly back from touring (in nsw...)
