Early 1960's makeup & hair?

Hi - I was wondering if anyone can give me a link to websites showing stage or "street" makeup & hair from the "pre-hippy" 1960's. Ones I have visited so far don't have much in the way of images...

you might just have to go back to the old fashioned way and check out your local library or Alexander in the city, he's always helped me in the past.

try books on the history of fashion.

Thanks for your suggestion, Kristine - I have tried these, but not gotten much in the way of pictures. What I was really thinking might help would be old advertisements, but have not come up with anything much. Will surf a bit more, otherwise I'll just watch a few movies (oh how we suffer for our art!) set in the era for an idea...

I did manage to find some references: public libraries had a few hair & fashion history books (better info in the cultural rather than theatrical ones, I thought), and I did Google searches www.google.com on ** 1960's + hair ** or ** style ** or ** fashion ** or ** makeup **. Took a few tries but got some reasonable material. http://www.costumes.org/history/100pages/1960links.htm
was a good one.

Lastly - I thought the movie Blow was not bad for the fashions, or you could go to old movies from that era for ideas as well.

couldn't find anything searching 60's makeup so I looked up well known 60's women....cher, dusty springfield.....

also 1960's videos are a good source.
