What a professional performance to see and experience. This all Australian show is great, few sad parts because it is a true story but well worth seeing with excellent perfmances by the leads.
The dancers work hard all night and you don't know which part of the stage to look at as they use the whole stage most of the time.
The set is a (large) tin shed with a top gallery with shutters that close up when not used and scissor lifts in the floor.
The lighting is well done and shows what moving lights are capable of when integrated with a show, changing from front light to backlight to washes to gobo projection as needed. They are out of the reach of most amateur budgets but every now and then a chance comes along to use them so go along and see shows that use them well.
There is few sets used as most scenes are flown in as lit signs, but the three early model holdens cut in half work well and JOK's half couples up with the ute back half to make a stage with the band already in it.
The final encore has dancers going out into the audience and getting audience partners so sit down the front if you want to join in.
