NIDA will be offering a brand new, Advanced Diploma Course in Scenery Construction in 2002. This is a two-year, full-time course.

The specific aim of the Scenery Construction Course is to provide vocational training for people who wish to work in theatre, film and television as craft technicians specialising in scenery. The course fulfils this aim through classwork, project work and direct practical experience in the NIDA Play Production Program. Students are taught by NIDA full-time staff as well as guest lecturers drawn from relevant areas of the industry. Additionally, students spend significant periods of time on secondment to arts entertainment companies related to this area of specialisation.

Feel free to contact me if you'd like more information on the course, a prospectus, an application form, or info on the admission criteria etc.

Applications for 2002 close 1 October 2001
